Introduction:

Tapered roller bearings have tapered inner and outer ring raceways and tapered rollers.They are designed to accommodate combined loads, i.e simultaneously acting radial and axial loads.The projection lines of the raceways meet at a common point on the bearing axis to provide true rolling and low friction.The axial load carrying capacity of tapered roller bearings increases with increasing contact angle.The size of the angle is related to the calculation factor, the larger the value , the larger the contact angle.A single row tapered roller bearing is typically adjusted against a second tapered roller bearing.

Feature:

DSQ tapered roller bearing have both metric and inch systems that are standardized by bearing series and both systems are widely used.

Radial and axial load capacity:

Tapered roller bearings can support axial forces in one direction and high radial forces.They must normally be axially adjusted against a second bearing fitted in a mirror image arrangement.

Compensation of angular misalignment:

The modified line contact between the tapered rollers and raceways ensures optimum stress distribution at the contact points, prevents edge stresses and allows the bearings to undergo angular adjustment.

At a load ratio P/Cr<0.2, the tilting of the bearing rings relative to each other must not exceed a maximum of 4 angular minutes.

Lubrication:

Tapered roller bearings can be lubricated by using oil or grease and its operating temperature is from -30 to +120 degree centigrade.

Cages:

Tapered roller bearings have pressed steel cages ,however, large-sized bearings use machined type cages while smaller sizes sometimes use plastic cages depending on the application.
